California Regional Water Quality Control Board Comments on Sheriff’s Work Plan, Requires Investigation Report by December 16

The California Regional Water Quality Control Board has provided comments regarding the LA County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) work plan for how the Department will assess its underground storage tank area for petroleum hydrocarbons (including benzene) in soil and groundwater. In the comments, the Board requires LASD to submit a technical report detailing the results of the site investigation and well installation activities by December 16, 2019.
