The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board Approves Exxon Mobil Corporation Requests for a Well Installation Work Plan

On August 5, 2024, The Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board approved Exxon Mobil Corporation’s request for an underground storage tank program at location 25808 South Narbonne Avenue. The following conditions must be met: the construction and development of the groundwater monitoring wells must comply with requirements prescribed in the California Well Standards, soil from all groundwater well borings must be sampled and logged at the intervals specified in the Work Plan, Soil and groundwater samples must be analyzed for TPHg, TPHd when diesel is identified at the site, and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes, naphthalene and fuel oxygenate compounds including MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME, TBA and ethanol and a Well Installation Report must be submitted by November 27, 2024.
